I was born and grew up in the south of England. I am a daughter of a farmer, so I love the outdoor life. I have always been around horses thanks to my mother. I rode in the West Kent Pony Club, competing in Polo, Tetrathalons, Team Chasing, Fox Hunting, Show Jumping and Eventing. From there I went on to ride in Point to Points and worked for National Hunt trainers. Looking for a change of scenery and to continue working with thoroughbreds, I found myself across the pond in the USA. I spent 5 years working for Ricky Hendriks, where I rode flat and steeplechase races and became an assistant trainer. I spent a year with Michael Dickinson working mainly at Delaware Park with 2 year olds. I met my husband David Bentley at Fair Hill and got married in St Lucia in 2001. My husband and I have a small farm close to Fair Hill, where we take care of lay-ups and turnout horses. My family consist of a dog called Rhythm, four cats, the infamous Charlie, Lily, and the two grey kittens, Lucky and Sunday. Also Tippy, a retired race horse, and Wesses, a hopeful steeplechaser in the making, round out the family. I started working for Equine Veterinary Care, PC in 2003. The opportunity arose to broaden my knowledge of the horse industry, and help in the welfare of the thoroughbreds. I enjoy the variety of challenges that come through the door, and get a great satisfaction from working with a dedicated team.
