Tammy Burlin

Hello, if you are a client of ours, you probably know me by now.  My name is Tammy Burlin and I am the Senior Technician/Office Manager at Equine Veterinary Care.  I have been employed here for about 13 years.  I’m sure you know I love the horses and enjoy working with such great people.

As a child I loved riding.  In middle school I began working at a small farm to earn more saddle time.  During my high school years I carried on my horse addiction as well as working and dabbling in other projects.  One summer I worked 72 hours a week (prior to my freshman year of high school) in a local restaurant cooking and waiting tables.   In high school I was accepted into the Gifted and Talented Art Program for 2 years and participated as a Business Diploma Plus Student, graduating with extra credits in the business field.  I graduated with scholarships and went on to Goldie Beacom College for a short time.  I then decided to take a few years off for “personal growth” before returning to the horse world.  I worked for various trainers such as Bill Boniface and Edwin Merryman for a few years and then returned to college as a biology major.  I completed my Associates in Science at Cecil Community College while working here at Equine Veterinary Care.

As far as my personal life…I am happily married, have 2 labs (Springer & Rose) and a 10 year old daughter who is a 5th year Girl Scout and the Vice President of her 4-H group.  She shows the dogs through 4-H and is involved in dog bowl…as you can imagine, she keeps me very busy.  We enjoy escaping to our home away from home in Chincoteague Virginia as much as possible.  As far as what lies ahead… Only time will tell.
