Dr. Anderson, a native of British Columbia, Canada received her veterinary degree at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatchewan, Canada. Actively involved with horses from childhood, she has worked in all facets and disciplines of the equine industry prior to becoming an equine veterinarian – from cattle ranch cowgirl to event competitor to barn manager to exercise rider/pony person at Marquis Downs, Sask!

Dr. Anderson started practice in 1986 as an associate with Dr. A. Martin Simensen, the long-time US Equestrian Team veterinarian based at the USET headquarters in South Hamilton but also providing 24/7 coverage to Suffolk Downs in East Boston. With the closure of Suffolk Downs in 1990, she migrated south to New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland racing circuits.

Dr. Anderson settled at Fair Hill Training in 1993 and has actively contributed to the continued success and upgrades at FHTC since then. A mother of two (son John and daughter Quinn) Dr. Anderson enjoys living with a menagerie of companion animals in a renovated historic Pennsylvania farm property that changes with the seasons. She also enjoys riding, the arts, traveling and reading. She continues to be active in many professional/leadership roles within the equine industry but her number one passion remains providing excellence in equine veterinary care!
