Dr. Meghan Delp grew up in Westminster, Maryland and has been involved with horses her whole life, learning to ride at a young age. She has a love for endurance riding, with over 5,000 competition miles in the saddle at events across the USA. Her father, a fellow equine veterinarian, provided a lot of inspiration for her career choice with childhood and young adult time spent shadowing him at Laurel Park. Dr. Delp earned her degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences from Virginia Tech in 2016; followed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Illinois. After graduation, she completed a rotating internship at Mid-Atlantic Equine Medical Center prior to joining the veterinary team at Equine Veterinary Care in June 2021. Dr. Delp’s professional interests include lameness, internal medicine, and emergency medicine. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, spending time outside – on foot or on the back of a horse, as well as spending time with friends and family.
